Another one of my FAVORITE "Friday Finds" is this charming little piece of Kitchen kitsch. About the same time I fell in love with 'all things vintage', and decided to incorporate that style into my kitchen, I discovered her on a dusty shelf in a local paradise... I mean junk shop ;)
I don't know if she's a plant holder, or utensil holder, but she only stands 6" tall, so I'm sure her purposes were mostly decorative. I just knew when I saw her that she was the special piece I'd been searching for to build a color scheme around.. dreamy whites, the palest pink, a touch of blues, and black to make it all pop. No red, but we'll take care of that elsewhere :)
She's placed on a spice rack waiting for the rest of the kitchen to catch up to her vintage sweetness. At the moment, she doesn't quite fit in with all the dark, distressed wood around her. But I love her. What I have grown to appreciate most about her, is that if I'm having a particularly crazy morning, she stands as a sentinel, reminding me that I need to take time for prayer, and that with the help of the Lord, I can do all things with love...
